Start with the character you have
Gokudo is a social and customization game as well as a fighting game. Your first useful decision is what you want from the session: explore, change your look or learn combat. You do not need a Secret fighting style to start doing any of those things. Our advice is to save early rerolls until you know what you dislike about the current character.
Take the first left from spawn
Main Street is the first left after spawning. It is a useful starting landmark because bikes and many activities are found there. Bikes are listed as free, so try one before deciding whether the separate skating gamepass is worth it to you. The activity directory lets you compare costs before wandering into a purchase menu.
Earn Yen before optional spending
New characters start with ¥0. The Phone Jobs app provides job shifts, and the Bank app allows transfers from other players. Yen can buy food and drinks. A plushie-machine attempt costs ¥1,000, while creating a family is listed at ¥25,000. These are very different budget goals; decide what you want before using your money on repeated attempts.
Learn M1, then learn how to defend
M1 can be tapped or held and produces up to four hits. The last hit is the finisher with more knockback. A pause resets the string. Next, learn that Critical / M2 cannot be stopped by an ordinary block. Parry or dodge it, or interrupt it with M1 only when it has no hyper-armor. Those distinctions matter more than a rarity label.
Understand safe zones before fighting
Spawn and Instrument Square are listed green zones. Combat is disabled inside them, but a combat tag prevents entry. Plan a retreat around distance and movement rather than assuming you can immediately step into spawn. Rage is another limited mechanic: it activates at 25% health once per life, with exact buffs not specified.
Set a small next goal
Choose one next goal: land a four-hit string, complete a song, earn your first spending money or browse a cosmetic collection. If your goal is a new style, watch its move demonstrations and calculate a realistic rarity budget. If your goal is a title, the rank planner tells you which actions build the axis you still need.
