Hold Space / Button A, then press left or right for a side sway or down for a back sway. Quickly tapping dodge also performs a back sway.
How to Sway Dodge
Sway is server-authoritative and works while you are in combat stance. The general dodge window grew from 0.22 to 0.28 seconds on September 26.
Mobile
Use the SWAY button. Swipe left or right for a side sway; tap or swipe down for a back sway.
Which direction?
Back sway is the safer option and avoids many head and torso attacks. Side sway is better when you want to stay close enough to counterattack.
